Turquoise Facet Bottle

Hand built using a grey stoneware clay that fires with a lovely speckle. Once leather heard (the perfect stage between too wet and too dry) I’ve faceted the outer surface,

These bottles are glazed in a thin matt-satin turquoise letting the speckle of the clay shows through. I’ve scraped the glaze off the rim, leaving the clay raw and burnished.  Each of these bottles is unique, I never make two the same. Measures approx 34 cm tall. Please note that because of their height, narrowness and the high firing temperature none of these bottles is perfectly straight – their slight lean left or right is intentional.
