Honeycomb Reef Bowl – Monochrome

Wheel thrown in black stoneware clay. These bowls have been hand carved and are finished in a combination of glazes and raw (un-glazed) clay.

Internally the glaze is a smooth satin black whilst externally I’ve used a satin white glaze which I’ve then scraped away to leave it only in the carved areas. This makes the finish really tactile, with a mixture of carved, glazed and raw textures.

Measures approximately 14 cm high and 23 cm wide at the rim. I recommend hand washing for hand made ceramics.
