Coiled Rope Vase – Sea Jade

Wheel thrown in soft grey stoneware that fires to a speckled slate grey. Hand carved when in that perfect state between not too dry and not too wet, and glazed in a soft satin sea jade green.

Where the glaze breaks over the rim and carved edges the speckle of the clay is revealed, and where the glaze is slightly thicker there’s a shine of dark grey, adding contrast and texture. This measures 18 cm high and is 5 cm at the rim.
