Coiled Rope Vase – Beach

Wheel thrown in soft grey stoneware that fires to a speckled slate grey. Hand carved when in that perfect state between not too dry and not too wet.

This vase has layered glazes which combine to create areas of soft sand and bright turquoise. Where the glaze breaks over the rim and carved edges the speckle of the clay is revealed, adding contrast and texture. Each of the vases is slightly different as the glazes melt differently on each – you’ll receive one of the vases featured in these photos.

These measure approx 15 cm high and 8 cm wide at the rim.
