Tideline Ceramics

Stoneware ceramics from the coast of west Wales.

Each piece reflects the colours, textures, flotsam and jetsam found on our local beach and its surrounds – from the low crumbling cliffs, the shiny pebbles and soft tawny sand to the far deep blue horizon. Let’s not forget all those interesting things you can find on the tide line: barnacles clinging to old rope; shells and other creatures hiding in the seaweed; rock pools; driftwood and washed up treasures like fishing buoys and lobster pots. The changing seasonal colours of surrounding fields, mountainsides, forests and hedgerows are truly kaleidoscopic.

All my ceramic pieces are either hand thrown on the potter’s wheel or built by hand – sometimes it involves a mixture of the two techniques.

I use stoneware or porcelain clay which can be fired to a high temperature making it suitable for sculpture and homeware.

All the glazes used on pieces made for both the kitchen and the table are food safe, of course, but other items might use a glaze more suitable for decorative pieces. Each piece is unique – art for your table, home and wall.

All my prices include UK postage.

It’s taken me a while to get up the courage to start a shop, but here it is and I hope you like it!
